Sebastian Miranda
President Candidate
About Me
I’m Sebastian, a proud Mechatronics Engineering student. I have lots of experience in student leadership and I am committed to making Mechatronics the best discipline at the U of A.
I was president of the First Year Engineering Club last year, and have direct experience managing a discipline club. This includes sitting on the ESS Board of Directors; calling executive meetings; hosting events and competing in GEER Week.
During my time with FYEC, I re-wrote and clarified all club policies, created a competitive GEER Week team that got two wins and seven podiums, hosted three engineering-based competitions for first years, made friends and helped others do the same.
This experience directly translates into running the Mechatronics Club, where there are similar responsibilities. I am excited to start a club from scratch and the opportunities that it brings!
